Despite the unusual flurry of interest by at least a segment of the public, Ron Paul has been virtually ignored by the mainstream media.
Even using low national polling numbers as justification, it does not seem to make sense when considering Ron Paul’s unusual ability to out-poll the “top tier” candidates after every national debate.
It would seem that Ron Paul would at least be worthy of a public interest story by the mainstream media that will cover Paris Hilton and Anna Nicole Smith ad nauseam. Certainly the Ron Paul campaign is an anomaly that makes for a good story in the very least.
The traditional media may try to keep Ron Paul's groundswell of support a secret but this will only work against them. In this day and age their ability to influence world events is diminished.
Newspaper circulations are declining, there are more news channels on television than ever before and the internet has passed them all by. America is simply no longer dependent upon the paper and the evening news.
Sooner or later they are going to have to acknowledge and report the actual news. If they don't, they will be rendered completely obsolete in the Internet-based society of the 21st century.

Ron Paul & The GOP
Ron Paul presents a threat to the currently entrenched version of Republicans. While Ron Paul is very similar to the Barry Goldwater/Robert Taft Republican, this is obviously an unwanted presence by the Neo-Con faction of the GOP.
Why would the GOP belong more to Cheney/Bush type Republicans than Goldwater/Taft Republicans?
It seems to me that the Neo-Con days of the GOP are numbered. The American public is losing interest in the Neo-Con vision and the remaining core is desperately trying to hold on. It is not surprising that The Neo-Con Republican does not want to see a change within the GOP, but the change has already occurred.
The market is no longer buying what the Neo-Con Republican is selling. There is demand for a new GOP and Ron Paul is that product. Obviously, the quicker the GOP accepts and endorses Ron Paul, the quicker they can return to power.
The reality is that the GOP would rather push a Neo-Con such as Giuliani and lose the White House than allow Ron Paul to win. Is that because a Democrat is more desirable than a Goldwater/Taft conservative?
I can only surmise that a smaller government led by a conservative is less profitable than having a Democrat in the White House. Consider that the conservatives in AM talk radio promote Neo-Con Republicans and consistently attempt to discredit Ron Paul. Let's look at the issues that would typically concern a conservative.
The Issues:
Lower Taxes
Smaller Government
2nd Amendment/Gun Rights
Secure Border/No Amnesty
Private Property Rights
States Rights
Without any doubt Ron Paul has consistently upheld these conservative beliefs for decades. The same can not be said for the other "top tier" candidates. So why then do AM talk radio personalities reject Ron Paul while promoting non-conservative candidates such as Rudy Giuliani?
It is clear that Ron Paul has the viewpoints that are much more widely accepted by Americans today. Ron Paul believes in the Constitution and that message comes through loud and clear!

Ron Paul Revolution is sweeping the nation!
The Ron Paul campaign is on fire. Even though our mainstream media is doing their best to shut him out, Ron Paul is stirring passsions within the American people. The corporate powers don't want Ron Paul, they want Rudy or Hillary, but maybe this time voters won't have to chose between the lesser of two evils. The white house will go to a Democrat before it goes to Rudy or Romney or any of the other Neo-Con Republicans. That is just the way it is. This country will not elect McCain or any of the other typical Neo-Cons right now.
Doesn't it seem strange that Limbaugh, Hannity and such would rather see Hillary as president than Ron Paul, a Republican. Think about that.
You see, I grew up liking the idea that we live in a nation where anyone could grow up to be president, not just someone from the royalty club.
Enter Ron Paul, America's underdog. Finally a candidate that is a public servant instead of a slick politician.
The typical politicians have not been able to figure out that voters want someone that talks straight and does not dance around the questions. Apparently they think we don't notice when they never really do answer the questions. Well we do notice and we like that Ron Paul not only answers but that he also makes sense! How about that?
